You know what our problem is many times? In my opinion it is that we think we have to know everything.
Job 37: 23-24 (KJV) states, “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.”
The things we think we know now, are really just our thoughts; we know nothing of fact. And that is okay. That is how it should be.
Because we cannot know anything of the Lord. He alone created everything; we have an account of His work, but we were not there to see it. We know He spoke into existence everything and he set the sun in the sky and the stars likewise. He caused the waters to stop where they were and made the land dry. He did that with His word. His breath gave life to the clay He shaped into man. We don’t need to know every little detail of His work.
If we could live not having to know anything with certainty but having faith with certainty in the Lord, how much life would change! We would not be consumed with worry! The unknown would not cause stress because our understanding is that God is in control of every little detail so we don’t have to know it all.
What a blessing it is to rely on the Lord for all our needs!!
