I quite often write about letting things go…but how is that accomplished?
Do we vent to someone else? Is that getting rid of it, or are we really just fanning the flames?
Because I think sometimes that the more I talk about some things, the madder I get. It’s really just adding fuel to the fire. How do you get the mob angry? Start a few fires and let the words spread…
You know how fast things can get misconstrued…something said in innocence can be taken and perverted into the opposite of what it was. It’s depressing to say the least….
What I want to talk about is really letting things go.
Lately I’ve been blessed to not let things get to me.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m probably the most stressed I’ve ever been, in some ways…but GOD has given me a peace I don’t understand right now.
I was driving to work the other day and I was so sick with worry…nauseous and vomiting, total upset stomach, headache and everything…and I tried to pray. I believe HE heard me because nothing changed about my situation and what caused the anxiety, but all my symptoms were gone…taken immediately from me.
I let it go…I don’t even know specifically what caused the attack, I do know that nothing has been resolved as of yet. But I hope to believe GOD has it under control.
I could have buried it like I have so many other times…

But when we hold on to the things we need to get rid of, they take root…it is so much easier to grow weeds than fruit. Those seeds of bitterness are so hard to remove. Don’t plant them to begin with.
And there’s something to that that I can’t fully comprehend but I’ll try to say it…if it doesn’t bring forth anything good, it’s a weed…Jesus cursed the tree that didn’t have fruit…the tree immediately dried up and died (Mark 11:12 KJV). Our thoughts are either of things divine or things corrupt. That’s it. It’s either good or bad. Don’t bury the bad so deep that it starts to grow and fight it’s way to the surface. Plant something good instead. Let GOD take care of the bad; HE will destroy it forever.
Put your worries and cares on the LORD and HE will take them from you…but you have to have faith.
GOD can do miracles. You see these daily. Yet you don’t have the faith that HE will take care of HIS…
Let go of the things that bring you down and cause you strife. Don’t bury those seeds in your heart and mind. We have enough weeds planted in there already; we definitely don’t need to add more.
“casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 KJV
