Don’t Be…

So quick to judge.

On the surface, everything looks at peace, but inside, an angry ant bed looms. Weird analogy, maybe, but think about it, the ants are organized chaos. Each ant has its job, it’s assigned duty and when the bed is disrupted, each one knows what to do and where to go. To us, it looks like a mess, but there is a method to the madness.

Such is how we are. On the surface, we look completely put together, calm, peaceful; but our internal processes are going in a million different directions at once. We often have too many irons in the fire, too much on our plate, but we can’t not do something or everything.

I am no different from you; he is no different than she. Every one of us has chapters we don’t read aloud. Each of us has secrets we don’t tell ourselves. We all have so much going on, so many people counting on us, so many plans and dreams and goals, and obligations pulling us in a million directions.

Like the ants, we sometimes seem and feel scattered. But, like the ants, we get it done. If we get knocked down, we regroup and rebuild, just as the ants do.

Don’t be so quick to judge. We are all just rebuilding and restructuring.
