All we have is right now. The past doesn’t exist. It is in our minds and affects our decisions, but it does not exist. You learn from the past, own it. You had a bad childhood, fine. Be better. You are not your past. You are. Period. You are what you do right now, this minute. Don’t let something that happened to you define you. Be more. Be better.
You don’t have a future. Just as your past doesn’t exist, neither does the future. You worry about what might happen, but you are missing out on what is happening now.
You let your past, which isn’t real, define you, and you let your future, which is only expectations, limit you. You are limitless. You have all the power and ability you need to be the best you right now.
You don’t need temporary gratification. Build yourself with firm blocks, educate yourself, surround yourself with others who share your visions, whose goals align with your own. Stop letting your situation define who you are. You don’t like your current situation, change your perspective. Change what you feed your body and what you feed your mind. Change your associates. If they do not build you up, encourage your growth, and push you to be better, you do not need them in your life. Anyone who discourages you from reaching your potential is an obstacle; move the obstacles. Get out of the quicksand mentality. You are not planted; you are not fixed in your location. You can move and grow and soar. You are not stuck in your current situation.
Change one thing. Right now. You have one day. Do one thing different for just one day. But start today. Read one article or one chapter in a book today. Repeat it tomorrow if you are blessed to wake up in the morning. Set aside time, just ten minutes, today to put the phone down and just breathe. Do it for ten minutes; just focus on your breathing and nothing else. Clear out the negativity you’ve encountered. It does not exist. Do not let it fester. You are bigger than your thoughts. You are the universe. You are more than enough to set your goals and smash them. Start with ten minutes today. Increase it. But start.
Stop comparing yourself to others. Small minds think about and talk about people. Don’t want what someone else has without being prepared to work for it. You want to be successful? Define what you want. Give it something so that you can measure your progress. What is success to you? Your success isn’t my success. Define it so you know what you want to accomplish. What are your goals, plans, dreams? Put dates beside them and start today working toward them. You might not have many more tomorrows in the scheme of things. You have to start right now before the hour-glass of life slips away.
Use that ten minutes you set aside earlier to write out your goals and plans. Decide what is important to you and prioritize.
Every day read this list. Read this plan and make notes of your progress. Take steps today to achieve the success you want and deserve. Hold yourself accountable. If you don’t meet your first deadline, go past your second. Work harder each day. Don’t quit. Don’t give up. No setbacks allowed. The oath you take is going to be hard, but if it was easy, everyone would do it. You are not everyone or just anyone. You are exceptional. That means that societal norms do not apply to you.
Remember: the past does not exist. It is not real. The future is not a promise; it is not a guarantee. Use what you have now. Hard work and determination. Smash your goals. You. Got. This.
I dont feel like I known myself so I am holding on to the good and bad things that I do know. I feel like if I let it all doninhave nothing. I have thr Lord and my family but I have no purpose or calling with my life. I feel as if I’ve lost that or I’m losing that. I know there is a light but I dont see it. I know he has me but I see or feel beyond this pain. I want to be better but I don’t know what that means. I give this advice and can see it in others but I just see an empty vessel when I look at myself.

Daily struggle.
I have no idea who I am or what I want to do. I am a ship tossed from wave to wave. Like you, I can see and I know, but applying the lessons to my life are another story. But I keep on trying. I’m not going to look back over my life when I get to the end and see all my failures. Even these trials that seem so big now, I know will be nothing from that perspective. These obstacles are lessons and are shaping me into the person I am meant to be. I will find myself, just as you will. Take a few minutes to start writing your thoughts and see where they lead you. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other. Keep moving forward. This is just a bend in the road and before long you’ll see around the corner.
