Singing

Last week I started writing this little piece. A few hours later I was sent to the emergency department…long story short, thank God for friends and first responders. I can carry on singing about sunshine.

….

What’s your background music?

Every good movie/tv show has a great soundtrack.

Are you raging with Skillett, feeling nostalgic with the Beatles, or maybe you search for meaning with NF?

I awoke this morning singing about sunshine. Just really upbeat and wanting to face the day.

I have some things going on at work, but seriously, I’m optimistic that this, too, is looking better.

I’ve made peace with the things I cannot control.

I just feel like dancing; you know putting on some upbeat, feel good, music and moving like no one is watching.

Of course I’m not going to do that. I’m currently sitting in traffic dictating into my phone what I want to say.

But my mind is definitely having a party.

It’s a great feeling.

Fast forward to the afternoon and something was off…my friend made me get checked out and it didn’t stop there…still going, as a matter of fact.

But it’s a reminder to stay on top of your health. Even though you feel great, sometimes something is going on that you’re not aware of. Don’t dismiss little details, like the fatigue I’ve felt from time to time that I decided must be age-related.

I’m so thankful for the song in my heart and my friends who can sing it to me when I’m too weak to sing it myself.
