Knowing

“And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.” Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Anyone can quote scripture.

The devil knows the Bible better than most…this is what I find amazing. How many people saw the Son of God and knew Him not? Innumerable amount of people…

How many yelled to crucify Him? (I shudder to think I may be one of those people)

Not everyone who heard Him speak, heard His Word. Not everyone was given eyes to see Him for who He is. 

Jesus caused the devils He cast out to be silent because they knew Him. They knew Christ is the Son of God. 

After Christ arose from the tomb, He walked with His disciples, but they didn’t recognize Him. It wasn’t until He made Himself known that they really saw Him. 

It wasn’t until their eyes were opened that they could see Him.

Those who seek Him with all their hearts will find Him.

He calls His children to Him and thankfully, He never lost one of His. 

I worry so much that I am one of those devils cast off. I worry my speech is silenced.

Lord, help…
