Basics

Let’s get back to the basics…

Look at the problem and break it down.

Get to the root.

If you want to get through this, you have to get to the source; get to the foundation. That’s where you start.

We all look at the big picture…we see the mountain, not the path or the steps we need to take to cross that mountain.

But we must look at the steps…

Starting with the base.

You don’t start at the top and work your way down. Down isn’t the direction you want to go. You want to go up, so you start at the bottom and slowly go up.

Go slowly.

There’s nothing wrong with going slow. Slow is still progress, as long as you are steady in going slow.

Every single day we face obstacles that we must overcome. And every single time we evaluate our situation…we figure out what it is we need to know and do to move forward.

What’s really the issue?

That’s the question.

It’s as simple as crossing the street. Do I just step out and hope for the best or do I wait for traffic to stop?

Sometimes we must wait to make a move.

And that’s fine. Sometimes being cautious is for safety and to ensure success.

If we just leap out into the street filled with vehicles, what are the chances we make it across?

They’re not high.

So take a breath.

Appreciate your situation.

Really break down the task before you and know what the outcome should be. Then you can begin to tackle the problem.

You’ll be much better equipped than just haphazardly jumping in.
